Lenoir County's animal shelter has re-opened after a parvo outbreak shut it down.
The deadly disease took the lives of over 20 dogs and forced the shutdown of the shelter two weeks ago.
Now that the animal shelter has r-opened, everything seems to be fine.
Veterinarians say it’s important to prevent parvo and other life threatening diseases by getting your puppies vaccinated beginning at six to eight weeks of age.
