Havelock Police believe Williams was behind a double shooting that occurred in the parking lot of Barney's Restaurant in Havelock on July 19th. Havelock Police Chief G. Wayne Cyrus says on July 24h arrest warrants were issued for Williams. Williams' attorney, Steve Lacy, believes the two men whom Williams allegedly tried to kill that night, were actually after him. Police say the two men shot were Michael Hill and Warren Griffith. Griffith who police say received five gun shot wounds that night, is still at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
