Wilson Woman Dies, Family Members Injured In Crash
Maryland State Police say 68 year old Jo Anne Gardner of Wilson died in the crash in Frederick County.

An Eastern Carolina woman is dead and several other family members severely injured after they were involved an accident in Maryland Sunday while returning from a family vacation.

Maryland State Police say 68 year old Jo Anne Gardner of Wilson died in the crash in Frederick County.

Her husband James, and Jeff and Beverly Gardner of Greenville were also severely injured.

Two other family members from Wilson had minor injuries.

Authorities say a pick-up truck hit the back of the van the family was in while it was stopped at a traffic light.

Charges are possible against the driver of the pick-up.

I am so sorry. The Gardner family was such an influence for my Dad, Lonnie Jernigan. My prayers go out to the family

Prayers going out to this family. You will never be forgotten for all you have done for the community. Your presence in the "Red and White" (Piggly Wiggly) really made a difference. The whole Gardner family is in our prayers.
