A Beaufort man, wanted by police for shooting two people, turned himself in Friday.
Marcellus Williams was wanted by Havelock Police for the July 19th double shooting at Barney's Sports Bar. Last Thursday night Michael Hill and Warren Griffin were shot in the bar's parking lot.
Williams surrendered to authorities at his attorney’s office in New Bern.
Havelock Police were contacted late Thursday afternoon by District Attorney Scott Thomas and were put in touch with Williams’ attorney to work out the details of his surrender. Williams has been sought for the double shootings after arrest warrants were issued Tuesday.
