JACKSONVILLE-- They dare kids to stay off drugs. And now, Jacksonville police officers will do that with the best set of wheels in the country.
Officers with the city’s "Drug Abuse Resistance Education" or DARE program have been driving around town in this yellow Chevy since last summer.
Thousands of kids have seen it and heard the message to say no to drugs. Now Jacksonville can say it has the best DARE car in America. The car was at Opryland in Nashville, Tennessee last week.
It won the best DARE car award at the National DARE Officers Convention.
