Camp Lejeune Marine Killed In Iraq

The Pentagon says a Camp Lejeune Marine has died in a non-combat vehicle accident in Iraq.

Lance Cpl Bobby Twitty died Sunday while supporting combat operations in the Al Anbar Province.

The 20 year old from Bedias, Texas was assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 6, Combat Logistics Regiment 2 of the 2nd Expeditionary Force.

Twitty deployed in February in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He joined the Marine Corps on December 5, 2005. After being trained as a heavy equipment operator, Twitty joined his unit June 10, 2006. Twitty was promoted to Lance Corporal Feb. 1, 2007.

Twitty’s decorations include the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
