A woman with Down Syndrome was found safe Monday morning, more than a day after she disappeared in Jones County.
Investigators say 27 year old Cassandra Stevens was found just three bocks from where she was last seen. She was visiting our area from Thomasville and disappeared Saturday night.
According to Jones County Investigators Stevens was last seen when she went to bed. Her aunt, who she's visiting in Pollocksville, noticed she was missing at 9:00 Sunday morning.
Jones County authorities credit putting the woman's picture on the news media with finding her.
Investigators say Stevens was a little thirsty and hungry, but otherwise okay.
