PCMH Looks At Children's Hospital Expansion

A new children's hospital could be in the future for Greenville.

The board of trustees for Pitt County Memorial Hospital, of which children's hospital is a part of, adopted a resolution to move forward with an expansion plan. That could also include a new hospital.

Hospital officials say the board didn't adopt any specific plans, just the idea of exploring possibilities. Its projected an expansion or new construction is something that would take place over the next 10 years at a cost of 40 to 50 million dollars.
