Former North Carolina Senator John Edwards says today the war in Iraq isn't lost, but the United States must change its approach.
The Democratic presidential hopeful says on A-B-C's "Good Morning America" show that it's obvious that things haven't gone well in Iraq.
Edwards says President Bush isn't willing to change course and the American people are demanding a change. Edwards says the violence in Iraq is created by a political conflict and violence will continue until the conflict is resolved by Iraqi leaders.
Edwards also says the United States should plan a withdrawal of
troops but keep rapid reaction forces nearby and "prepare for the
worst."
