Veteran Administrator Named Fayetteville State Interim Chancellor

Veteran university administrator Lloyd "Vic" Hackley will serve as interim chancellor at Fayetteville State University.

Hackley served as the university's chancellor from 1988 to 1994. He has served as president of the state's community college system and recently ended a stint as interim chancellor at North Carolina A-and-T University. His appointment will take effect July 23rd and last until a permanent replacement is found.

The announcement comes days after T-J Bryan said she would resign the post. Bryan faced an audit of the school's finances and criticism over a new nursing program. She became chancellor in July 2003.
