The body of a man has been found several days after his unoccupied boat was found last week in a North Carolina coastal river.
The Coast Guard says Roger Turner Junior was found early Saturday. His boat was found last Thursday in the Perquimans River.
Turner and his wife were returning to their home in Pasquotank County after spending time with friends when a wave hit the 20-foot boat.
Perquimans County Sheriff Eric Tilley says Susan Turner was knocked into the water and swam to shore during the night.
Tilley says she said the last time she saw her husband he had turned the boat to find her but the vessel drifted away.
An investigator from the Wildlife Resources Commission says the death appeared accidental.
