It's been a fiery Fourth of July on the Outer Banks.
A marsh fire at Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo in Dare County ignited because of nearby fireworks.
The marsh fire was contained around 10 Thursday morning after scorching some 19 acres.
In Morehead City, 5 acres were burned when fireworks caught Sugar Loaf Island on fire.
Morehead City's fire chief says that's where they were setting off fireworks Wednesday night when strong winds blew embers back onto the island.
The fireworks show was kept on as firefighters on boats worked to control the blaze.
