Family Of Slain Newspaper Carrier Wants Fetal Homicide Law

The father and husband of a slain pregnant woman are vowing to do everything in their power to change North Carolina's homicide law to allow prosecutors to seek double murder charges when a pregnant woman is killed.

Kevin Blaine's daughter Jennifer Nielsen was eight months pregnant when she was killed in Raleigh two weeks ago.

He says there's no reason an unborn child shouldn't be recognized in the case of a homicide.

Nielsen was found dead behind a Raleigh convenience store in the early morning hours of June 14th. She had been delivering papers for U-S-A Today.

No arrests have been made, and her family is offering a ten-thousand reward for information that leads to the conviction of her killer.
