A memorial service is scheduled for tomorrow for a North Carolina man who disappeared from a cruise ship last week near the Bahamas.
Brent Smith was last seen one week ago aboard the Freedom of the
Seas, which is owned by Royal Caribbean International.
The ship turned around shortly after Smith was reported missing the morning of June 18th. The Coast Guard also launched a search but called off its efforts after officials decided it was unlikely search teams would find Smith.
The date of his death was listed as June 18th in an obituary placed in the Wilson Daily Times on Monday by the Seymour Funeral Home. The funeral home says Smith, who's from Fremont, will be remembered at a service Tuesday night at United in Christ Church in Goldsboro.
The ship docked in Puerto Rico to allow F-B-I experts to investigate whether foul play was involved.
