John and Elizabeth Edwards have differing views on gay marriage. Sunday Elizabeth Edwards made clear her support for it as she kicked off San Francisco's annual gay pride parade.
Says Edwards, quote -- "I don't know why someone else's marriage has anything to do with me." She conceded her support puts her at odds with her husband, a former U-S senator from North Carolina who's now a Democratic presidential candidate.
John Edwards supports civil unions among gay couples -- but not same-sex marriages. Elizabeth Edwards says her husband is "very conflicted." She says his opposition to any form of discrimination is up against his small town rural roots.
