Monday is the deadline for businesses to apply for economic injury loans suffered in tropical storm Ernesto last year.
The tropical storm made landfall just west of Cape Fear on August 31st. In the storms aftermath, the Small Business Administration declared nine counties eligible for disaster assistance.
Those counties are Carteret, Craven, Duplin, Jones, Lenoir, Onslow, Pender, Sampson And Wayne.
Businesses can borrow up to a million-and-a-half-dollars for losses suffered in the storm. The interest rate on the loans is 4 percent, with a maximum term of 30 years.
