Greenville City Director Retiring

Tysinger came to Greenville in 1984 from Charlotte when the population topped thirty thousand people. There are now forty thousand more people the city than twenty years ago. Tysinger had to tackle the growing transportation issue and the need for a new city hall. Tysinger says he will enjoy some time off during his retirement and plans to work on projects around the house. He also says he will still be a part of the city's public works division. The city manager, Wayne Bowers, plans a nationwide search for Tysinger's replacement.
