How To Help Haiti

A massive 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit Haiti Tuesday damaging schools, hospitals, and other buildings. Charitable organizations across the U.S. are now gearing up to send aid to the already impoverished country.

If you are interested in helping immediately you can text HAITI to 90999 and a donation of $10 will be given to the Red Cross automatically to help with relief efforts, the money will then be charged to your cell phone bill.

Another way to donate automatically is through Wyclef Jean’s Yele Haiti, an organization already set-up to help the struggling country. Simply text Yele to 501 501 to donate $5 to the efforts.

You can also go online and check out organizations such as the Red Cross and Mercy Corps to make a contribution to the relief efforts. Other organizations to consider can be found by clicking here.
