Seniors Protecting Themselves From Scams

This week, Lois and Bob Borden of Pactolus received a phone call from what they believed was a private company seeking to scam them by offering to update their medicare options. The Bordens say they grew suspicious when the person on the phone set up for a representative to visit their home and collect their personal information. The Bordens immediately called medicare. We contacted the private company and found that it was actually medicare advantage. While they are not affiliated with medicare, they say they offer private insurance options.
