Testimony continued well into the night Friday in the ethics hearing against Durham district Mike Nifong, following his announcement that, regardless of the outcome, he is resigning his position.
On the stand Friday night, assistant district attorney Tom Anglim from Beaufort County. Anglim was called to testify as an expert witness on prosecuting criminal cases, disclosure of evidence, and communicating with the media.
He testified Nifong did not follow standards consistent for North Carolina prosecutors. He also said the case is having an impact here because it is something everyone seems to be aware of and something that defense attorney's reference.
