Some of you really make me sick. Thank you to all of our service members! You are the reason why we are allowed to get on a website like this and voice our opinions. No matter if people agree with this war or not, you should still support the troops. There are some that go over and fight this war and they don't believe in it, but they do it. I am proud of my fiancee who is deploying for the second time. God bless all of our troops!!!

Gator and the Voice, you guys need to get a life. There are jobs everywhere. Even if it is McDonald's. Don't give me your bleeding heart story about people who can't find jobs. What about all the immigrants in this country that get free everything?? Who can we thank for that? That's right, our MILITARY!! Because of them we live in the land of the FREE and people come here for that reason, legally or not. There are enough agencies in the US that help out our jobless and homeless families. My husband has been out of the Marines for over a year, to be honest, we have more income now than we did when he was in, so as far as your "figures" on military pay, shove them up your ---. There's more to pay then money. Military families "pay" the ultimate price when their loved ones are away so much. AMEN to WalMart and NBC for their show of support to our military! Has everyone forgotten 9/11?? I am a FF/paramedic and I see the gratitude to our military and public service fading. Shame on you!!!!

Gator, I don't support the military the way that every flag waving patriot in this state expects me to, but I agree 100% with your comments. There are agencies within the armed services that help families out. A noble thing to do would have been to donate the gift card to a needy family elsewhere. That would have shown everyone the true meaning of CHRISTmas (are you happy now, "Concerned"?), but that doesn't happen in our society.
