Eastern Carolina is waking up to a thick layer of fog Monday, and that is delaying the start of the school day for some.
Schools in Bertie County, Gates County and in the Edenton-Chowan County school systems are opening two hours late Monday.
Some parts of Eastern Carolina are under a dense fog advisory, including the area north of Highway 64, as well as counties along and west of Interstate 95. Visibilities are reduced to as low as a quarter-mile or less. Visibility can fluctuate frequently. The advisory is in effect through 9 am, after which time the fog will be clearing in most areas.

To Me!! Why do you want to speak about Bertie that way? They are concerned for the safety of our children. Maybe its because they didnt get breakfast free or you didn't have a babysitter so that you could sleep in or run the roads..usually people like you that leave negative comments are the ones that do these things.

If the cops down enforce the speed limits, maybe some fog will help people to slow down; if not, natural selection may, too.
