Authorities say a baby and two adults have died in a four-vehicle wreck in North Carolina.

Authorities told multiple media outlets that the driver of a Ford Mustang crossed the center line and hit a sport utility vehicle around 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Hope Mills. Two other vehicles also crashed.

Hope Mills police Sgt. David Servie says 26-year-old Tristan Hanna of Webster, N.Y., and 26-year-old Hien Truong of Parkton died Thursday at hospitals. Hanna was driving the Mustang, and Truong was driving the SUV.

Truong's infant daughter died Thursday night. Two other adults were in critical condition.

Servie says speed played a role in the crash, but authorities are still investigating.

Did anyone ever stop to think that just maybe something happened to Mr. Hanna while he was driving that caused him to cross the center line (maybe something medically?) People are so quick to judge. None of us have any idea what happened that day as none of us were in his car with him.

I hear you Chris; thanks. That same thing happens to me too, on HWY. 17, and the license plates always have Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, or New York on them.

Outside Looking in - That is probably the best post I have ever seen on WITN. So much truth in that statement of yours! Imagine this folks, if we ALL just slowed down a little bit and enjoyed the scenery instead of trying to zip past traffic like you are qualifying for the daytona 500, we might just cut our fatal accident's down to near nothing! Even if only one child is saved because of it, wouldn't it be worth it?? As outside looking in stated, learn it and live it! Enjoy the view's and the tranquil surroundings instead of making the stretch of highway look like a NRA drag strip! I was on US 64 near williamston tonight driving 75 in a 70, this blue tahoe caught up with me and then passed me like I was sitting still! And for what? To catch Mcdonalds before they closed?
