They say he's a leader of a gang called the "Bloods." Now, he's behind bars.
Cedric Harris was convicted and sentenced Wednesday in a 2005 shooting. Harris shot Devon Reid in the head, as they walked through Woodlawn Cemetery in Williamston.
Reid, who still has the bullet in his neck, survived after he was life flighted to Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville. No clear motive for the shooting is known, but some information indicates Harris thought Reid was telling people about the gang.
Harris was convicted Wednesday of attempted murder and other related charges. He was sentenced to roughly 20 to 25 years in prison.
