NEW INFO: Missing Duplin County Woman Found
Officials say Doris Durden was found a quarter of a mile from her home.

The subject of a statewide Silver Alert has been found.

Authorities say 48-year-old Doris Durden was discovered about a quarter of a mile from her Calypso home Wednesday afternoon.

The woman is being taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital to be checked out.

A silver alert has been issued for a missing woman in the East.

48-year-old Doris Durden is the focus of the silver alert, issued by the Duplin County Sheriff's Office. Lawmen say Durden was last seen on Parker St. in Calypso in black and blue plaid pajamas and pink flip flops.

Officials say Durden may be suffering from dementia or another cognitive impairment.
