Osprey Cam Set To Go Up In Jacksonville

A new camera built high up in a Osprey nest, is letting folks get a rare glimpse inside the home of the spectacular birds of prey. But the camera and the new nest weren't always there. The original nest that stood on a pole for some forty years was accidentally knocked down by a bulldozer. That's when Randy Shilsky, one of the developers of the new subdivision sort of took the fallen nest under his wing, and replaced it. It wasn't long until the City of Jacksonville got word, and decided to install a camera letting everyone catch a glimpse of these amazing birds. The web camera should be streaming video and images on the Sturgeon City website within the next couple of weeks.
