Deborah Davis, former president of Pitt County Memorial Hospital, has accepted the position of chief operating officer at MCV Hospitals, part of the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center in Richmond, Va.
The VCU Medical Center is one of the country's leading academic medical centers and stands alone as the only academic medical center in central Virginia.
Davis, 50, spent more than 32 years at PCMH, beginning her career in 1975 during her college days at East Carolina University (ECU). By 1982, she was a member of the executive staff, serving as vice president for rehabilitation services at PCMH. She became senior vice president in 1990, and was named PCMH president in 2002.
