Their mission is to go where people on the ground in Iraq can't. Remote locations where food, ammunition, water, and other supplies are needed.
They are the Second Air Delivery Platoon out of Camp Lejeune. These paratroopers train to leap out of planes and then help deliver supplies.
Chelsea Donovan took to the skies with the Marines, on a C-17 Globemaster aircraft to understand the role they play, while fighting in Iraq. We watched as the 20 parachute jumpers were literally sucked out of the plane, about 2, 000 feet above ground.
The Marines will continue this training for the next few months, before they deploy to Iraq in the fall.
