People gathered Thursday night for a fundraiser at Rock Springs in Greenville for the Greenville Community Shelter.
The shelter provides housing to the homeless on a temporary and transitional basis for close to 550 people. And the money to fund such an operation is in the hundred of thousands of dollars. With 78 beds in the emergency shelter, men, women and children, can have a roof over the heads and place to lay their heads.
Organizers say, although they provide a variety of services with their budget, there's a need to increase them. The only way to do so is through grants and fundraisers.
