Two more candidates are about to join the race to succeed Governor Easley.
The campaigns of state Treasurer Richard Moore and Salisbury
attorney Bill Graham say they're holding separate public events
over the next week announcing their expected candidacies for
governor next year.
Moore will hold his campaign kickoff May 22nd at a rally at Webb
High School in Oxford, where he graduated in 1978.
Graham, who already formed a committee in February to raise
money for a possible bid, plans campaign kickoff events Thursday in
Salisbury and his hometown of Dunn.
Graham gained name recognition last year by spending hundreds of
thousands of dollars of his own money to run television ads
supporting a reduction in the state's gas tax.
