Smashing Pumpkins To Hold Concert Series In Asheville

The Smashing Pumpkins are back. The band hasn't performed together since 2000. But the group will play nine concerts in Asheville from June 23rd to July Fifth and eight in San Francisco from July 22nd to August First.

The band's Web site encourages fans to capture the concerts with audio and video recorders.

The Smashing Pumpkins hit their peak in the 1990s before breaking up in 2000. They won two Grammy awards and sold millions of albums.

The band is to perform live in Paris next week for the first time since December 2000. A new album titled "ZEITGEIST" is scheduled for release in July.
