Former televangelist Tammy Faye Messner has posted video on her Web site in which she says she's looking forward to a long life despite a third battle with cancer and having her weight fall to 65 pounds.
She says she could live 15 to 20 more years preaching the gospel.
Messner made the comments in a telephone interview that originally aired on the California-based Trinity Broadcasting Network. The approximately eleven-minute interview was posted to tammyfaye.com as a YouTube video late last week.
Last week, Messner said doctors have stopped treating her cancer.
Messner helped her then-husband Jim Bakker create a multimillion-dollar evangelism empire. The couple founded a Christian retreat in South Carolina, but divorced while Jim Bakker served time for financial fraud.
Messner, who later married Roe Messner, was first diagnosed with colon cancer in 1996. She announced in 2004 that the disease had spread to her lungs.
