Four more people died from the flu in our state last week, according to the State Health Department, which says nearly 500 more people were hospitalized. Those figures include both the swine and seasonal flu cases, though health officials say the swine flu is the dominant strain going around.
Health experts are urging you to keep the swine flu in mind as you focus on the turkey. That's because holiday travel and gathering could be breeding grounds for swine flu. Federal experts suggest vaccinations, hand washing, and covering coughs and sneezes with a tissue or sleeve.
