As fire officials work to investigate the cause of the Shutters Condominium fire at Pine Knoll Shores in Carteret County, homeowners got their first glimpse of just how much they lost. Those who owned condos say they are in shock and disbelief. Nothing but the elevator towers and charred shells of walls, doorways and windows remain after a massive fire ripped through the development. One condo owner we talked actually saw whole thing unfold from the water. One of the developers says his unit alone had a tax value of $600,000. A total of 12 units were destroyed. The homeowner's association says it will rebuild.
