Duke Business Students Face Stiff Penalties For Cheating

Officials say nine students face expulsion from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business for cheating on an exam. Another 25 of the graduate students face suspensions or failing grades.

The incident, in which officials determined 34 students collaborated on answers of an exam, is the largest cheating incident ever at the business school.

All the students are from the class of 2008. Their names were not released because of federal privacy laws.

An appeal is expected, which would take about a month.

For now, they are considered regular students who can continue with classes and final exams.
