Police in Greenville will be working on improving safety Tuesday, through the Project Safe Neighborhood Program.
The Greenville Police Department and Pitt County Sheriff's Office will be going door to door late Tuesday afternoon to educate people on gun laws and why it is important to report gun crimes. So if you get a knock on the door from an officer between 3:30 and 5:30 Tuesday afternoon in Greenville, this is probably why.
Project Safe Neighborhood is described as an effort to make streets and communities safer by targeting gun crime.

They should be knocking on those doors everyday; trying to solve some of the crimes.

To "b" So you are saying that it takes an event such as this for them to canvass these areas, hell they should be knocking on those doors everyday trying to solve atleast a fraction of the crime!
