Police say they have found an elderly woman who was the subject of a statewide Silver Alert for the past several days.

Candy Mae Bullock was found Thanksgiving afternoon, visiting a home on Sycamore Street for the past three days with a longtime friend. Family members alerted that friend that the 70-year-old Bullock was on TV as a missing person.

Police were contacted who then brought Bullock's sister to the home. The sister has agreed to allow Bullock to remain staying with that friend.

Police say the woman's home burned down last Friday and that they believed she was trying to get back to Whitakers when she became missing. Since the fire the woman had been staying with her sister in Nashville.
