The Navy's Blue Angels jet demonstration team will perform at an air show in North Carolina next month three weeks after a member of the team was killed in a crash in South Carolina.
The team is scheduled to perform May 12 at the air show at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, the base said Wednesday. Other events include parachute and jet fighter demonstration teams as well as other aircraft.
Lt. Cmdr. Kevin J. Davis died in the crash after his plane went down in a stand of pine trees last weekend at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, S.C. The rest of the team decided not to participate this weekend in an air show at Vidalia, Ga., but may resume flying May 5 in a show at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska.
