A television news anchor faces new
charges in a wreck that resulted in the death of a pedestrian in
Tolly Glenn Carr, a WXII-TV news anchor from Winston-Salem, is now charged with
felony death by motor vehicle and felony serious injury by motor
vehicle. Carr had already been charged with driving while impaired
in the March 11th wreck that killed 26-year-old Casey Ryan Bokhoven
According to police, Carr drove through a construction zone, ran
off the road and hit Bokhoven. He refused to take a breath alcohol
A passenger was injured in the crash.
Search warrants show Carr told police he consumed alcohol
earlier that evening. The warrant also said Carr didn't pass a
field sobriety test and police detected a strong odor of alcohol.
