Visitation was held Tuesday for Greenville police officer, 35-year-old Jason Campbell, who died when his cruiser crashed into another vehicle Saturday on Greene street. The driver of that vehicle, 51-year-old Billy Ray Greene, also died. The State Highway Patrol says it has determined what led to the crash. Sergeant Ernie Coleman says, "The reconstruction is still going on but right now the highway patrol investigation shows that the Greenville police vehicle lost control, traveled left to center contributing to the accident." The report also shows officer Campbell was traveling at 75 miles-per-hour in a 45 mile-per-hour zone. Greene street north bound will be closed to traffic Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until 1:35 p.m. for Campbell's funeral procession.
