31 violent North Carolina inmates are not going to be released from prison, originally set to get out because of a loophole in a law. Beverly Perdue announced her decision Thursday and says the criminals will have to serve their entier life sentences and can not be released early on good behavior credits.

Natalie Kaplan sat down with a woman who was kidnapped and raped by one of those inmates when she was 9 years old. Tanya Yearwood says she was overjoyed by the news Steven Wilson would be staying behind bars and now says she wants to reach out to other rape victims.

"That's my goal, my goal now is to help individuals that have been victimized. I know victims are afraid to talk, that's my calling, all this happened for a reason and tells me what I need to do to help other individuals.”

Yearwood says, the best thing an assault victim can do is talk about it, go to a counselor, or join a program. She says they have to realize it was not their fault and they can move on from the incident.

It makes me ill to think that the state would even give it thought to allow those men to be relaesed. I feel that all man that harms a innocent child should get capital punishment DEATH PENALTY! That Just like the man in little shaniya case he should suffer for wat he did.I dont think that it is fair that we have to waste our hard earn money for these low life's to have free room and board. I have kids of ny own it doesn't make it right they all ahould get capital punishment.

You are one strong woman! You deserve all the happiness and good things life has to offer. I hope this man rots in jail or better yet, gets cancer and dies quickly!
