Army Limits Media Access At Palin Event At NC Base

The U.S. Army now says it will allow media limited access to Sarah Palin's appearance at Fort Bragg.
Army officials had said they would prohibit coverage of Palin's on-post event, saying it would turn into political grandstanding against President Barack Obama.
The Associated Press and The Fayetteville Observer objected and the military changed its position slightly on Thursday night. It will grant a pool of reporters restricted access to Monday's appearance.
Fort Bragg spokesman Col. Billy Buckner said members of the media will not be allowed to interview the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee and will be barred from talking to her supporters on post.
Buckner said the setup will allow reporters their right to access while preventing the event from turning political.

Again Derek, you fail again to recognize that "the media didn't go after Obamas family". Palin didn't put her family in the limelight, the media made it a personal focus to go after them and Palin. Actually OSOC, Palin was the one who thrust her family in the media spotlight. Don't forget that she regularly travels with at least one of her daughters. I don't think you can blame that one on the media, they are by her side at every photo op. You can look it up if you would like, but Palin was the one that got the ball rolling. Now how would your right wingers react if the oldest Obama daughter was carrying a child? Much, much worse. Also, Obama is trying to get us out of this recession, you know the one that Bush started. Vance - did you really quote from Obama's book? Or was that the sound in your head while to tried to process what you read?
