Over 100 members of a church outside of Jacksonville are without a place of worship. All that is left standing is a charred shell of what used to be the Greater Faith Tabernacle Church, just west of Jacksonville on Richlands highway. The fire started just after 6 pm Sunday. A passerby noticed smoke coming from the church. According to the fire marshal, it took them over four hours to contain the blaze, due to the blustery conditions. The church is home to over 100 members, and is a total loss. The cause is unknown at this time. For now the church will hold services in an adjacent classroom building that was unharmed.
