Bad things keep happening in mid-April.
This Friday is the eighth anniversary of the Columbine massacre
in Colorado, when two teenage gunmen killed 12 of their schoolmates
and a teacher before killing themselves.
This Thursday is the 12th anniversary of the Oklahoma City
bombing, when Timothy McVeigh detonated a truck bomb outside a
federal building killing 168 people.
Also on Thursday, the 14th anniversary of the Branch Davidian
incident near Waco, Texas. That's when federal agents stormed a
building that soon erupted in flames, killing almost 80 people.
And today, the massacre at Virginia Tech, with 33 dead including
the gunman. It, too, will become a grim April anniversary.
