State Of Emergency In Currituck County
Currituck County officials have declared a state of emergency in the wake of the coastal storm.

Currituck County officials have declared a state of emergency in the wake of the coastal storm.
Staircases that used to be next to the sand now have several feet between them and the ground, this is just one of the reasons the state of emergency has been declared in Currituck County. Officials say the emergency declaration will pave the way for federal inspection of dune erosion and beach conditions. That may allow Currituck County to get federal recovery money. FEMA officials are scheduled to visit next week.

What a waste of money! Coastal erosion happens and the tax payer should NOT have to pay for it. You wanted the view, you pay for it. UNBELIEVABLE!
