Things added up quickly for police when they saw what one burglar left behind at a New Hampshire crime scene.
It all started shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday, when a man living at an apartment on Pine Street in Manchester heard a noise coming from a girl's bedroom, a bedroom he thought was empty.
Thinking it was just the cat, the man found a burglar instead, hiding behind the door. The man tried to hold the burglar but couldn't.
But it wasn't a clean getaway.
"Surprisingly enough, the burglar did leave some items at the burglary scene," said Gerald Lessard, police captain. "Specifically he left a day planner and an unemployment check with his name on the check, so we were able to quickly track him down to his residence."
Police say the check belonged to Michael Noyer, whose day planner had written on it the phrase "Together we achieve the extraordinary."
Police went to his apartment, where they say they saw him on a bicycle and gave chase. They took custody of him inside his apartment, where they also say he tried to hide some Oxycodone inside a hole in the bathroom wall.
That added a felony drug charge to the other charges against him.

That's because the "punch line" as it were should be at the end of a story, not the middle. It left me thinking there was more humorous info coming besides the fact that he was stupid enough to even have a check with his name on it with him, and then leave it at the scene of the crime. That part should have been the last tidbit like "And how they caught the perp...?" Instead it ends as oh, he's probably just another sad case of prescription med addiction. Of course, what we all want to know why he didnt just cash the check, right?
