Employees Say Rest Stop In Rocky Mount Is Haunted
Most of us have stopped at one of them, many of us do it all the time especially while on the road but usually we're in and out in a matter of minutes. So WITN decided to spend the night at a Rocky Mount rest stop to find out exactly what goes on there after dark.

Hundreds of travelers pass through the rest stop off I-95 north in Rocky Mount everyday but they might be surprised to learn about its interesting past.
According to rest stop employee Eric Bowers, “Sometimes at night doors open by themselves and there's nobody at the door so it's kind of spooky."
Bowes told us the rest stop is haunted, that’s because he says two people have died there. Bowers says one person hung himself in a tree in a wooded area next to the rest stop and another person died after having a heart attack. Authorities did not confirm that information with us.
Bowers says over the past 5 years he too has had a few run ins with the unknown.
"I was standing and gazing out the window and a lady came in and I was just standing there and she was in there for about 15 minutes. I didn't see her come out so I went in there to look and she was gone."
Even with possible ghosts and goblins creeping around where he works Bowers says he loves his job and plans on working there for a long time to come.

Yeah it's haunted alright, by 'Night of the Living Dead' zombie like thugs, crackheads and streetwalkers from Rocky Mount. It sure isn't dead people who should be concerning people around that area, it is the live pieces of garbage who live there who are out looking to steal, rape, rob and/or harm innocent people.
