Kinston Police say they have custody of Timothy Kinsey, the man accused of dousing his wife with gasoline and setting her on fire. Lawmen say Kinsey was arrested at his mother's home in Jones County at 9 p.m. Wednesday. Kinsey's bond is set at $210,000. He's charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and one count of arson.
Lawmen say an argument prompted Kinsey to douse his wife with gasoline and light her on fire in their Lincoln Ave. home in Kinston early Saturday. Juanita Kinsey was listed in critical but stable condition at the Jacyee Burn Center in Chapel Hill Thursday.
The couple's 14-year old son, Timarcus, was also burned in the incident as he tried to put out the flames on his mother. He is home from the hospital.
