Make the effort to call, email, or something.. if u know a Veteran. Just say thank you for serving. I did.
Since we are loosing our WWII veterans at an alarming rate, I would like to thank all veterans, but, request if your mother or father served and are still alive, ask them what they did. I have many regrets that I didn't pry this from my father. They were humble soldiers. This man had served in three wars. After a long serve in the Airforce as a pilot we never understood his legacy, as he didn't really share it. He had the Air Medal 7 times and many other awards, we never really understood. When he passed, this explained the standing room only, at his church. this explained the MP Jeeps escort to his burial plot. Only after he died, did we learn from his fellow airmen. He was a highly decorated C 130 pilot in Vietnam. He was the airlift out of harms way and the supplies that kept you fed and armed. His copilot said he was the bravest 130 pilot he ever flew with. So, my point, is learn from them, listen to them, they have a lot to share. Happy Veterans Day Dad, we will never forget....
I would like to thank all the veterans for what you have done for our country.May God bless each of you.Again,Thank You
