The body of a missing fisherman has been found off the North Carolina coast.
The Coast Guard says the man's wife called Tuesday night when her husband didn't return home from a grouper fishing trip that started at 8 a.m. Tuesday in Surf City. After finding the man's empty boat, the Coast Guard recovered the man's body, about 12 miles east of New Topsail Inlet.
The Coast Guard says this is the second reported death of a fisherman fishing alone without a life jacket in 5 months in North Carolina.
